I was born in Auckland New Zealand. My parents travelled back and forth from Sydney to Auckland in my formative years. My mum was born in England and is of Spanish and French-Canadian decent. My father was of Polish Samoan-Scottish decent and born in Tonga. As a result I’ve had a rich multi-cultural upbringing. I was reared on typical English meals like sausages and mash, as well as enjoying the amazing tastes of the pacific. As a child I enjoyed meals like raw fish (cooked in coconut and lemon juice), Sapa sui (vermicelli noodles with beef and ginger) and pan-fried flounder. My parents history is an extremely interesting story and I hope to write a novel one day of their journey to New Zealand and their immigration to Australia.
